Success Factor - E-recruiting

Hi,

Have a doubt in SF E-Recruiting:

There is a setting like "External to Internal Candidate Profile Conversion Settings" , the users can select the parameters to map the newly created employee profile with external candidate profile and when this is not set up both the profiles will be returned in the search results.

I am not able to understand what this means. Anything similar to this exists in SAP Erec.
