To start with, check the execution by running in error only mode or foreground mode. If you are using BDC_INSERT, execute the same via SM35 and see which field is throwing the error.
It could be that some field is not open to edit based on certain criteria. Use the same data to open the transaction and see if the field is editable/enabled.
