It makes sense to activate the event queue for the PR release. If the PR release happens in mass via batch program then system load caused by a large number of triggered events can be spread over a longer time period using event queue administration. This counters the threat of system overload.
You would have maintained the check box "Enable event queue" in SWE2 2 against the BOR object and event.
These events will be set in queue based on the timelines mentioned in SWEQADM . Batch job SWEQSRV is scheduled to deliver the events. If you need the events to be delivered quite frequently then you can change the timings of this batch job.
