In my view the difficult part is over. That is making 2000 plans. Now you need not worry for scheduling through IP10 or IP30. As has been discussed earlier several times, you need to create a background job for program RISTRA20 (IP30) through SM36 and just monitor through SM37. You need not have to do any thing.
1. The background job should be based on a IP30 variant. (Means you create a variant in IP30 giving all the plans OR Sort-field values).
2. The background job start time should be preferably in the minimum system load times such as in the midnight, because the volume is big.

About the bad side of IP10 is: it is of little use where plans volume is more. The good side of IP30 is it processes any number of plans together., But one should be very careful using this, because fields are not mandatory. If by mistake the execute button is pressed, it will start scheduling for whole plans in the system.
