Yes, cyclic G is mandatory for this new functionality because in this cyclic BSI delivered the changes that allow external systems to retrive data without passing a date as parameter.
You can still install the note before upgrade to cyclic G, but you will be required to enter the effective dates. Once you install cyclic G, the tool will no longer ask for the dates.
