Cost component structure is nothing but the break up of costs of the material. If you are running cost estimation for the material, then you have to split the costs as material cost, machine cost, labor costs etc as cost components. Later you assign cost elements or cost element group to the cost component structure. When you run cost estimation, the system will display the costs as per structure.
