Depot is liable for excise.
Here the difference is, we are not allowed to charge more than what we had in our incoming excise.
That is the reason we are capturing excise before creating commercial invoice through J1IJ,
Here in J1IJ, we can copy the excise values only from the previous excise documents.
I hope it is clear.
